[Let's try making something with tufting! #4] Making the ideal mat with tufting
[Let's try making it with tufting!]
"Tufting isn't just for rugs."
This is a series that introduces new ways to enjoy tufting that have expanded from such discoveries.
The appeal of tufting is that, depending on your ideas, you can easily create everything from interior decor items to practical items.
This time, we have compiled information on the yarn, tools, and sizes used based on the items actually made by our staff.
You may find a design that will blend seamlessly into your life, or an idea that will make you want to make it.
"I didn't know I could make items like this," "I wonder if I should try a design like this next time."
I would be delighted if this experience could inspire your creative spirit.
This time, we have created a simple, elegant, plain design that matches Kartell's Componibili (right) and IKEA's Gradom (left), and enhances the atmosphere of each piece of furniture.

Back side finishing

The appeal of tufting is the freedom to create
This time we made a round mat, but the great thing about tufting is that you can freely decide the shape, color, and design.
This is the perfect handmade experience for those who are not satisfied with commercially available mats.
"It would be convenient if I had something like this." "It would be cute if I had all these colors."
With tufting, you can give shape to even the smallest ideas like that with your own hands.
As I choose the color and the texture and move my hands,
Before you know it, you'll have your own favorites.
RUGMATAG will continue to introduce fun and easy tufting design ideas and crafting tips on our blog.
Please look forward to the next update!
