RUGMATAG has now started selling yarn for tufting to help you enjoy home tufting even more.
In Japan, many people who enjoy home tufting often use craft yarn instead. However, craft yarn is not optimized for tufting, and we have received many complaints about problems with tufting guns.
Therefore, we have started selling wool yarn suitable for tufting with the AK-1 (and other AK series) that we use in our workshop.
Wool yarn is a natural fiber that is known for its luxury and high quality when it comes to rugs. Its sturdy fibers and resilience mean that it won't wear out easily even if you step on it, and it can be used for a long time.
The yarn is close to the thickness commonly considered to be medium thickness, and we recommend using two strands for the AK-1. There are 60 colors available.
It is sold in cones of 500g , so if you want two of the same color, please purchase two cones , or purchase a cone roll together and use the amount you need.
