[Let's try making something with tufting! #5] Chair pad
"Tufting isn't just for rugs."
This is a series that introduces new ways to enjoy tufting that have emerged from such discoveries.
The appeal of tufting is that, depending on your ideas, you can easily create everything from interior decor items to practical items.
This time, we have compiled information on the yarn, tools, and sizes used based on items actually made by our staff.
You may find designs that blend seamlessly into your life, or inspiration that will make you want to try making one yourself.
"I didn't know I could make items like this," "I wonder if I should try a design like this next time."
I hope this will inspire your creative spirit.
This time I tried making a chair pad!

I used wool yarn in the "season's pick-up color"
This series introduces 10 recommended colors for each season, carefully selected according to a theme every two months. (5% off for a limited time)
This time I used Q24 to create a soft pink tone.
Wool yarn is highly durable and is ideal for everyday items such as chair pads. The more you use it, the more its texture improves, making it a material you can enjoy for a long time.
The design is quilted. Lines are carved into the single-color wool yarn to create a three-dimensional effect. By using a tufting gun with either a 10mm or 16mm pile length, the carving becomes smoother. This simple piece will add a touch of elegance to any chair.

Yarn type and texture
Yarn used: Wool yarn color: Q24
Size: Approx. 38 x 42 cm
Yarn used: Approximately 420g
Tufting gun: AK-1 cut pile tufting gun (16mm & 10mm)
Please try making your own spring-like chair pads!

The appeal of tufting is the freedom to create
"It would be convenient if I had something like this" "It would be cute if I got all these colors"
With tufting, you can give shape to even the smallest of ideas with your own hands.
As I choose the color and texture and move my hands,
Before you know it, you'll have your own favorites.
RUGMATAG will continue to introduce fun and easy tufting design ideas and manufacturing tips on our blog.
Please look forward to the next update!
