What is Tufting?

A. Tufting is a craft that uses a special "tufting gun (a hand sewing machine for rugs)" to punch yarn into fabric, allowing you to create rugs, wall art, small item holders, etc. It can be done just like painting a picture, and even beginners can have fun if they understand the key points.

What should a beginner prepare?

A. You will need finishing materials such as a tufting gun, base fabric (tufting cloth), frame, yarn, glue, etc. It's easy to get stuck if you forget to buy something or have compatibility issues, so it's a good idea to start with a starter set that includes the basics.

Is the tufting gun loud? Can I use it in an apartment?

A. The noise is about the same as that of a vacuum cleaner, so most people won't be bothered by it when working during the day. By taking measures such as placing an anti-vibration mat under the frame and firmly securing the frame, you can work comfortably even in an apartment building. If you are worried, we recommend trying it out on a smaller piece first.

How much is shipping? Are there any conditions for free shipping?

A. Shipping costs are 730 yen (tax included) per order (1,000 yen for Hokkaido and Okinawa). Free shipping is available for orders over 15,000 yen (tax included) (20,000 yen for Hokkaido and Okinawa). Orders placed before 9:00 AM will be shipped the same day and will arrive the next day at the earliest.

It's so easy to use it's surprising!

I was previously using the AK1 from a different manufacturer, but due to a malfunction in the power unit I replaced it with this one.
I felt the same thing when I bought the AK2/Pile model last time, but it's easy to use and very quiet.
The factory settings from Ragmatag are also excellent, and as you can see in the photo, both the back and front are uniformly stable without any touching.
The tufting gun I used previously was the same AK1, but it was an older model, so I couldn't help but write a review after seeing the difference in quality after replacing it!
