[Event Report] A look at the RUGMATAG tufting workshop held for 3 days only at Hankyu Umeda Main Store!
From July 19th to 21st, 2024, RUGMATAG participated in a tufting workshop at the POPUP event for two popular brands, MIYOSHI RUG × HOME ECONOMICS EXPERIMENT, held at Hankyu Umeda Department Store! Many people participated, from beginners to experienced people. This time, we will show you the situation.

At the venue, participants were able to choose thread from a wide range of colors.
The RUGMATAG staff were impressed by the participants' creativity, with some participants mixing their favorite colors and others using vivid colors alone, creating unique designs!
The children seemed a little nervous at first when they tried out the tufting gun to actually hammer the wool into the tufts, but with support from staff who helped them practice, they gradually relaxed and began to enjoy themselves.

EXCLUSIVE MEET-UP
On the 20th, a special event called "EXCLUSIVE MEET-UP" will be held.
We welcomed a selection of guests, including fashion editor Karin Ohira, and had them experience making a special mini rug that could be completed in just two hours.
Before choosing a color We were given some tips on color selection, including trend colors and upcoming color combinations.
Participants freely combined vibrant acrylic yarns to create fascinating works that reflected their individual sensibilities! Their professional approach to production was a fresh inspiration for us staff members.
Workshops are also held regularly at the RUGMATAG studio!
We offer workshops where you can create original shapes, workshops where you can make mini rugs to place small items on, and even a master course where you can systematically learn all the processes from upholstering to back-finishing.
