What made me decide to make it?
I've been interested in this animal print fur skirt lately.
"If I could express this texture through tufting, it would be so cute!"
That was the beginning of it all.
However, instead of just making a skirt,
I wanted to make it more usable in everyday life ...
I decided to try using it as a smartphone shoulder bag !
About this work
Although it looks like it has a strong presence,
The key point is that the volume has been adjusted to make it easy to use in everyday life.
Tufting should only be done on the part that touches the shoulders .
While enjoying the fluffy texture, we also paid attention to the ease of use.

Different pile lengths
I used 45mm and 30mm in some parts .
Use 45mm where you want to add volume, and 30mm where you want to tone it down.
Even with the same yarn, if you change the pile length,
It gives the facial expression movement.
Design Process
This time, we also used AI to create the design.
First, I loaded the animal print fur skirt I was interested in into ChatGPT.
It was redesigned with the idea in mind: "What if we created a smartphone shoulder bag with this same feel?"

While considering the "size when worn" and "ease of use"
The shape and balance were adjusted to create the final design.
Even if you're not good at design,
AI is very useful because it can "visualize" the image once .
Finishing parts (shoulder and lining)
For the shoulder part, I used a leather-like smartphone shoulder bag that I bought at a 300 yen shop .
The installation is simple,
The smartphone shoulder bag is sandwiched between the work and the lining and secured in place using a glue gun or spray glue.
The lining this time is finished with black felt.
