What is a tufting gun?

A tufting gun is a special tool used to drive wool into fabric to make rugs, wall hangings, etc. Working similarly to a sewing machine, the tufting gun drives wool through a needle at the tip into the tufting cloth, allowing you to create original patterns and designs.

How to choose the pile height

Should I choose 10mm or 16mm?

If you are unsure, we recommend 16mm. This offers more flexibility as you can shorten the surface later with a carpet trimmer .

What if you want to create a design with bumps and grooves?

Having both a 10mm and 16mm tufting gun makes it easy to create textured designs.

What if you want to create a more complex three-dimensional expression?

Basic Usage

1. Plug the AK-1 into a power outlet and switch it on.
2. Pull the trigger to check the speed of the action, then adjust it with the dial at the bottom of the grip.
3. Thread the yarn through the needle hole and guide hole
4. Hold the grip and handle firmly and insert the needle tip into the tufting cloth.
5. Pull the trigger and move it at a moderate speed to drive the yarn in.
6. Release the trigger and pull the needle out of the tufting cloth.
7. The yarn is inserted at appropriate intervals to create the design.

Recommended materials

• Fabric: Tufting cloth (special fabric)
• Yarn: acrylic or wool yarn
• Yarn thickness: Two strands of medium-thick yarn are suitable.
• How to wind the yarn: Cone winding is ideal (as you will use a lot of yarn)

Maintenance method

Basic Maintenance Procedures

1. Remove lint: Use a brush or air compressor to remove lint. Rotating the gear clockwise while cleaning is more effective.
2. Remove oily lint: Use a cotton swab to thoroughly remove all traces of lint.
3. Oil injection: Apply a small amount of special oil to the opening and closing parts of the scissors and the moving parts. The recommended oil is AZ chainsaw oil .
4. Let the oil run in: Rotate the gear clockwise to let the oil run in to the moving parts.
5. Operation check: Turn on the power and run a test run without any yarn to check for problems.

Oil filling frequency

• For frequent use: once every 1-2 weeks
• If you don't use it often: Once a month
• Oil the center of the scissors once every 2 to 3 months.
• Note: Apply oil in small amounts, as applying too much oil may cause malfunction.

Warranty and after-sales service

• Warranty period: 90 days from date of purchase
• In the event of initial defects or natural failures, maintenance will be provided free of charge once during the warranty period (round-trip shipping costs are borne by the customer).
• Maintenance after the second time will be charged.
• Depending on the breakdown, we may replace the product instead of repairing it.
• After the warranty period has expired, repairs will be charged.

Note: Any malfunctions caused by adjustments or repairs made by the customer or malfunctions caused by excessive use are not covered by the warranty even if they are within the warranty period.

Usage Guidelines

• The tufting gun has a complex structure, so please do not adjust or repair it yourself. This may result in irreparable damage.
• Do not change the pile height from the initial setting. Adjusting it may cause other parts to shift and result in malfunctions. (Note: 10mm type is only available in the "Clear" model.)
• After use, be sure to remove any lint from the gun with a brush or air duster.
• Neglecting maintenance can lead to malfunctions and breakdowns, so regular care is important.
• Please avoid using this product in environments with small children or pets as it may be dangerous.
• Long hair should be tied up before use to prevent it from getting caught in the gears.
• Be sure to turn off the power before threading the machine.
